Broccoli, Spinach and Quinoa Mash

Introducing our broccoli, spinach and quinoa mash, a delicious plant based meal for your little one.

Age Recommendation - suitable as soon as you start solids. The recipe served as it is may be a slightly difficult texture for babies just starting out however you can simply add a little boiled water and puree in a blender.

Broccoli, Spinach and Quinoa Mash


  • 1/2 cup tri colour quinoa
  • 1/2 cup diced broccoli
  • 1/2 cup diced spinach
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


  • Rinse your quinoa as per the packet directions!
  • Place 1/2 cup quinoa in a saucepan with 1 1/4 cups water.
  • Add your diced spinach and broccoli. Mix to combine.
  • Bring to the boil. Allow to boil for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Reduce to simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from stove, add olive oil and mash with a potato masher.
  • To store simply portion out and freeze- our freezie trays are great for this!
