Hi Jeanette, my BF 4.5 month old is so eager to eat what I’m eating she watches me like a hawk with an open mouth (or even if I drink something) and will pull my hand or arm towards her mouth. She has good head control & can sit assisted. So she doesn’t technically tick all of the boxes that indicate she can start, but she is SO keen, objects are grabbed and straight to her mouth. I did want to go down the BLW avenue, but I’m worried she will be too impatient for this before she’s technically “ready for it”. I’ve let her lick/suck on a couple of things (banana, watermelon, a chop). Is this okay to keep doing? Or should I introduce puree’d foods via spoon or the silicone fresh food feeder things if she’s indicating she wants to explore and taste what I’m eating?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jacqui
