Read moreSo many of the commercial options available when it comes to baby custards are filled with added sugar! Or they are sweetened with lots of fruit, also a form of sugar, often also used because it is a cheap ingredient to bulk out the product!
So we have created our own 2 ingredient baby custard recipe that is filled with nourishing ingredients like egg yolks and full fat milk. You can then flavour it if you like with anything you have at home like pumpkin, nut butters, sweet potato, pear, oats or seeds.
Age Recommendation - suitable as soon as you start solids! This texture is perfectly smooth so great for little bubs starting solids.
Allergens:
This recipe contains eggs and cow's milk, which are top 9 allergens. If you need to, you can easily substitute these:
- You can swap egg yolk for corn flour. You will need 3 teaspoons instead of 2 x egg yolks.
- You can swap milk for oat milk, breast milk, almond milk or soy milk (soy is another top 9 allergen though!).
