We LOVE salmon for the taste, but also the incredible nutrition boost it gives these fritters. Adding in salmon offers protein and energy alongside omega 3, vitamin A, D, B6 and B12. Salmon is also a fish that is low in mercury- you can learn more about the best fish to pick for bub here.
Did you know.... that once you introduce a common allergen you should continue to offer it twice a week to reduce risk of allergy developing? So these fritters also help you with ongoing exposure to fish, egg, wheat and dairy! If you wanted to tick off another allergen you could also add a teaspoon of tahini to the batter before cooking.
Age Recommendation - 6+ months. This recipe requires you to mash the salmon and veggies you add in. For babies just starting solids we recommend you mash everything very well so there are no large or hard pieces. We also recommend you serve the fritters in strips- these make a great finger food options for BLW!
