The Rora High Chair

I bought this chair when it was on presale so I have been using it almost a year. I am fairly disappointed. It's just not a resilient chair. It's a sturdy chair but the wood isn't finished in the holes for the insert to go into so cleaning it (or even using it) leads to water ingress in the wood, swelling and wood peeling off. As such I wouldn't expect you could hose it off to clean it, which is disappointing for a chair at this price point. The metal rod between the back legs is easily bent, but appears to have little structural function.
The covers and straps are easy to wash and I put them through the machine and they've not sustained any damage. The tray has gone through the dishwasher fine. The tray comes in and out easily. The straps are a bit fiddly to get out but we don't use them anymore. For my next child I bought a different brand chair at a similar price point without these problems.

The highchair is well designed and easy to assemble and I love being able to adjust it without tools.

I find the straps and buckle fiddly, a single touch button release would be a beneficial upgrade and I’d personally love to be able to purchase in a darker colour. Although easy to remove, I assume the white straps will become stained over time.

The tray is easy to remove and a good size however I’ve been using for two weeks and cleaning with my regular dish sponge which seems to have been too abrasive and now I can feel the tray is no longer as smooth and I’m unable to use suction bowls without them coming loose quite easily. Overall I’m happy with the chair but wanted to provide feedback that is hopefully useful for others.

I bought the Rora High Chair as I was looking for a compact chair similar to the tripp trapp without breaking the budget. This is a beautiful high chair, nice and sturdy with a small footprint to save on space in small homes.
A little disappointed with a design flaw, you have to remove the whole infant insert to take the bottom cushion off rather than being able to remove separately, which becomes extremely annoying, excess removing the insert has caused the wood to splint. I wish the cushions had an extra velcro strap to avoid this. Also would like to see a PU leather version of the cushion to easily wipe down rather the dampening, as purees get messy! After the first wash of my covers the threads started coming loose.

Overall happy with the chair but not the cushions.

We love our highchair. Not only does it look great, it is really practical and we love that we can use this for years to come as our little one grows up and no longer needs the tray but is too small to use a regular dining chair.
Plates actually stick to the tray, it’s super easy to take off and clean, and I love that I can chuck it through the dishwasher when super messy. Cushion and straps all wipe well and have been through a number of washing machine cycles and still look brand new.
We’ve used this since it was released and absolute can’t fault it. Also love that when I purchased I got everything I needed. No having to buy anything separate. Would absolutely recommend.

Purchased this when it was first released for my 2yo as a next step from the cheaper small high chair we had been using. She loves feeling part of the family with this ‘big girl chair’. We will use it for our second baby once she starts solids.
