Nutrition Notes
This plant-based mash combines quinoa, which provides protein and fibre, with broccoli and spinach for folate, vitamin C and a gentle source of iron. The olive oil adds healthy fats that also help bub absorb the fat-soluble vitamins in the greens.
Parent Tip
For babies just starting out, the mash can be a slightly firm texture — simply add a little boiled water and blend to a smoother puree. Pairing the greens with olive oil helps with iron absorption too.
