These terms cover our website startingsolidsaustralia.com.au, the Starting Solids app, the Starting Solids Library, our courses and our community. By using any of them, or buying anything from us, you're agreeing to them.
We're Starting Solids Australia Pty Ltd. If anything here isn't clear, email support@startingsolidsaustralia.com.au and ask.

Our advice is general
Everything we publish — recipes, guides, how-to-serve articles, workshops, courses, and answers in our community — is general information written by qualified paediatric dietitians. It is general in nature and should not be taken as individual health advice for your child.
Every baby is different. If your child has a medical condition, a diagnosed allergy, a feeding difficulty, or anything at all you're concerned about, please speak with your GP, paediatrician or a dietitian who can assess them directly.
Your account
You'll need an account to buy from us, subscribe to the Library, or use the app. Keep your details accurate and don't let anyone else use your account.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, or by emailing us.
Buying products
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. We can change prices at any time, but never after you've placed an order.
We may refuse or cancel an order — for example if something is out of stock or priced incorrectly. If we do, we'll refund you in full.
Delivery times are estimates. See our Shipping policy and Refund policy for how that works.
The Starting Solids Library
The Library is a subscription. You can pay monthly or six-monthly, and the price is shown before you subscribe.
It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel any time — you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and we don't refund part-periods.
If you subscribe on our website, manage it through your account. If you subscribe in the app, Apple or Google handles the billing and you manage or cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings, not with us.
If we ever change the price, we'll tell you first, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
If your payment fails and we can't recover it, access stops.
Free trials
If we offer you a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription automatically when it ends unless you cancel before then. One trial per person.
E-books, courses and other digital products
When you buy an e-book, guide or course, you get a personal, non-transferable right to use it yourself. Please don't share, resell, upload or republish it.
Because digital products are delivered immediately, we generally can't offer change-of-mind refunds once you've downloaded or started them. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — if something is faulty, not as described, or doesn't do what we said it would, contact us and we'll put it right.
We may update or improve course content over time.
The app
The app is free to download. Some of what's inside is free, and some needs a Library subscription or a separate purchase.
Your food tracker and meal planner are stored on your own device. If you delete the app, that information goes with it — so if it matters to you, write it down somewhere else too.
We may update the app, and occasionally features may change or be removed.
Our community
Our community is for parents and carers supporting each other, with our dietitians on hand.
Please be kind. Don't post anything abusive, discriminatory, misleading, spammy, commercial, or anyone else's private information. Don't give other people medical advice, and don't treat what another member says as advice for your child.
We moderate the community and we can remove posts or remove people without notice. If you see something concerning, report it to us and we'll look into it promptly.
What you post stays yours, but you give us permission to display it within the community.
Our content
The recipes, guides, photographs, videos, courses and everything else we publish belong to us. You're welcome to use them for your own family. You may not copy, republish, sell or use them commercially without our written permission.
Things we can't promise
We do our best to keep everything running and accurate, but we can't promise the website, the app or the community will always be available or error-free.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, and we don't try to.
Beyond those rights, and to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our liability is limited to re-supplying the product or service, or refunding what you paid for it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when we last did. If a change is significant, we'll let you know.
Where these terms apply
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
