Cup FAQs
When should my baby start using a cup?
Most babies can start practising with an open cup from 6 months, alongside starting solids — even before they can drink much from it. It's about building the skill, not the volume.
Open cup or straw cup first?
Both develop different oral motor skills. We recommend introducing an open cup early (with plenty of spill tolerance!) and adding a straw cup as bub gets steadier — the Babies First Straw Cup is designed for exactly that transition.
When can bub move to a normal cup?
Most toddlers manage an open cup with minimal help by 12–18 months. The Bubbie Tumbler is built to bridge that gap.
