An easy, 3 ingredient take on sushi — no rolling or seaweed required! Soft, mashable rice balls with avocado and tuna that make a quick, nourishing snack or light meal for bub.

An easier, quicker recipe than homemade sushi that is similar nutrition-wise — just without the rolling in seaweed and the time-consuming process! The longest part of this recipe is cooking the rice.

Age & Texture Guidance

Suitable from around 6 months. As always, be guided by the textures your little one is ready to tackle.

6–9 months: Flatten into soft patties or offer as soft scoops that are easy to grasp.
9–12 months: Offer smaller balls to practise the pincer grip.
12 months+: Serve as bite-sized balls.
