What is in it?

What we like:

• Low in sugar-which you would expect from a savoury biscuit, with only 0.4g per 100g.
• Total Fat- is within the recommended guidelines at 8.8g per 100g.The Saturated Fat is also 1.1g per 100g and we want it below 3g, so this is also good.

What we like less:

• Sodium is high- The sodium is REALLY high at 970mg per 100g and we are aiming for less than 400mg per 100g. 
• Lower in fibre than we would like- it only has 1.1g per serve and we would like to see it above 3g.

The Take Home: 

The high salt content of these biscuits make them a less than ideal choice. Two crackers meets the entire sodium needs for a 1-3 year old! For lower sodium options you could look at corn thin or rice cakes. Like most crackers and biscuits, even the ones that do fit the nutrition guidelines, they don't offer a lot nutritionally. We like to think of crackers and biscuits as a "vessel" for other things like cheese, tomato, cucumber, hommus and nut butters for example!
